Best Gaming PC configuration under Rs 80000 Ryzen Build

Recently I've been getting a lot of request for a new gaming PC configuration since I've not been able to post any mainly due to reviews and laziness, mainly because of the latter! So complain no more as today I'm putting up a configuration that to meet all your gaming demands with no problem whatsoever. Its not a very cheap build I'd say but this is the best you can get for the money you'll be spending as of today.

Before compiling this configuration I've kept a few key points in mind which I would like to enlist first -

  • The build should be future proof and should last the user for over a year or two without any upgrade.

  • Upgrade should be easy and economical with minimum change of components.

  • It should be balanced over all with all the components in sync & at par without overpowering or under-powering others.

Quite basic points but worth mentioning for easy understanding of what I'm about to write down next.

CPU - AMD RYZEN 5 1600 Rs.16,529

Coming in with a 3.2Ghz base clock and 3.7Ghz boost this is the perfect choice for a gaming CPU in this price range as it also comes with a wrath spire cooler bundled in the package saving you some precious bucks and delivering RGB LED at the same time, if you like RGB at all. Best part its overclockable and beats the competition hands down.

If you want to buy anything more powerful then the R5 1600X is the next option but with minor gains in gaming plus the added cost of an after market cooler I won't personally advice you to go for that.

Motherboard - ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS Rs.8,125

Going for a B350 motherboard over the more expensive X370 for a gaming build is the smarter choice since the latter only offers you a few more USB 3.0 ports and dual graphics card support over the former. Both of which don't really matter since raw performance is unaffected.

Asus Prime B350 Plus is a better choice due to four DIMM slots that give you flexibility in future upgrades and has 6 SATA ports and one M.2 port to complete the package.

RAM - G.skill Ripjaws V 16GB (8GBx2) 2400 Mhz Rs.9,380

For gaming 2400Mhz is what has been the sweet spot in terms of frequency while 16GB of memory is what you should be looking at since games are becoming more and more memory intensive. G.Skill Ripjaws V has shown great compatibility with Ryzen CPUs so you'll not face any compatibility issues whatsoever.

Graphics Card - MSI RX 580 GAMING X 8GB Rs.23,820

Some might argue but this is the best pick for a graphics card in this price range. With 8GB GDDR5 VRAM, 256 bit interface and 1393Mhz on the clock out of the box the MSI RX 580 Gaming X is more than enough to chew any game at 1080p. Considering the history of its predecessor the RX 480, with new drivers rolling out everyday this offering is bound to get better with time.

HDD - Toshiba 2TB 7200RPM Rs.5,400

When we talk about gaming we need to have a HDD with 7200 RPM for fast load time and less frustration. Toshiba 2TB HDD offers unmatched reliability and endurance for its price point and stays strong even under high temperatures and loads, its a no brainer if you pick this up. I recommend the 2TB 7200RPM version simply due to the ever growing size of game setups and multimedia files, you can opt for the 1TB variant if you feel its enough for you.

SSD - Kingston A400 120GB Rs.3,723

Our recent reviews have shows that the Kingston A400 is the new king of the hill when it comes to budget drives displaying over 500MB/s of read and write speeds. It looks great and is priced apt so if you want a budget SSD for your system to boot fast and your games to load quicker than ever then you'd ought to look at the Kingston A400.

I recommend a 120GB to save cost and also as our motive is just to load Windows with some vital softwares and games for which its good enough.

PSU - Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 600W Rs.4,389

Its the latest offering from Cooler Master and is claimed to offer 85% efficiency to cut down on your electricity bills! Since it has a 120mm smart fan so heating or noise shouldn't be an issue even in hot temperatures. Also it has two PCIe 6+2 connectors so if you plan to go for a graphics card in future that requires two 6-pin or one 6-pin and one 8-pin connection then the MasterWatt Lite would hold up just fine saving you an immediate PSU upgrade.

I pick the 600W as its price difference over the 500W variant is nominal but offers ample room for future upgrades.

Case - Corsair Carbide SPEC-ALPHA Rs.5,499

or

Cooler Master MasterBox 5 Rs.6,279

After giving it much thought I decided to mention both of these since they both offer identical features internally while from outer aesthetics the MasterBox 5 is a more elegant chassis with bold and clean cuts while the SPEC Alpha on the other hand is more edgy and funky. So choose the one that suits your style the most.

Both these cases support liquid cooling upto 240mm and even big air coolers if you are into using one, though with the present configuration you don't need either one of them but in case you upgrade in the future the case would easily accommodate your new fits.

All of this above would cost you roughly around Rs 80,000 with monitors and other peripheral extra.

Do drop in your feedback about this configuration and also if you've got anything else to add to this then feel free to write that down aswell.
